Where to find English books???
- First of all within APP! The Entertainment Corner is not fully supplied yet but it'll come, we have the books!

You can buy them in:
- la FNAC (place Clémenceau) tiny section called "livres en V.O."
- Espace culturel de Leclerc with children's books!!
- The Little London Larder (behind Castorama, Quartier Libre)

And that's all I can think of now.
But please add some more places!

Thanks for the info Magde. The books at the Little London Larder are mostly second-hand and sell for just 2 euros which is donated to St. Andrew's Church in Pau.
If I'm really stuck for books, or want a particular one, I go on the website www.play.com which has great bargains and postage is free to France even just for one book or CD costing £5! (You'll need to change the currency to euros for delivery to a French address).
You can also find some bilingual books in the bookshop Tonnet near Les Halles out door market in Pau which are useful in learning to read French.

Yes please Leen, I can never get enough reading material! I do have quite a lot of books that I've had donated to me and that I've read and enjoyed so I'll be passing them on to our new custodian of the books - Magde.

Is there an Anglophone library? I have books, DVD's and videos I have no further use for and would be happy to donate them if anyone can make use of them.

Hi Helen
Yes please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We did (well do) have an Anglophone library. It is just that the couple who housed it have gone back to England so at the moment it is residing in my sous-sol! Happily, Magde (one of our members, in fact now a Committee member since the AGM) has agreed to house it for us in her home in Nousty so we'd be really grateful for any contributions. Just let me know how I can get them from you and twill be done!

I popped in Leclerc this morning and was so disappointed! Most of the books are gone. Adults' yes, some but no children's books anymore....................

I have a few English books, videos and DVDs to add to the library - perhaps I could pass them on at the next coffee morning?? Any idea when that is?

That would be great. Thanks!
The next coffee morning will be on the 16th of June in Mazerolles. If you cannot make it we can always arrange another meeting...

I have one or two childrens books to give away if anyone is interested (Dumbo, Winnie the Poo etc) Plus a couple of audio books (cassettes) Sorry but can't make coffee mornings due to work.

Hi Tony,
I'm in charge of APP's library. Any books, DVDs, CDs, K7s are welcome! If you go to the drinks evening on the 20th bring them along.
Hope to see you there!
