- I am the present Anglophone Membership Secretary and Welcomer, wife of Richard and lover of Teddy, my little four-legged 5 year old. I have lived in France for the past 9 years and in the Pau area for the last 4 years. Before coming to retire in France, we lived for 9 years in Italy. My hobby is designing and making hand made greetings cards for all occasions.

thanks for your reply and the useful info about tv - we will certainly contact the firm that you gave us.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to make the coffee morning next week, as my wife starts work on Monday and we only have one car at the moment. I also have my ankle in a splint, so am not mobile just now!
We should have a cheque book soon, so will send your our form then.
As well as house-hunting, we are also car-hunting, so if anyone has any helpful tips (especially on who to avoid!), we would be happy to hear them.

This is john hutton, I wrote to you from Sydney Australia a while ago.
Well we have arrived in Pau this week and I am writing to touch base with you.
The weather is not great is it! A bit of a shock after Sydney.
We are looking for a house to rent at the moment, and think we might have found one ,but are waiting for the agents to do there final checks etc before we know for sure.
I am going to join your group as soon as I can, but dont have a cheque book at the moment so have to wait till I get one. Unless there is another way we can pay you?
I wanted to ask you how we can get english TV and radio here? Thy tell us at the house we can only have a dish in the yard, and not on the roof or walls of the house, so I dont know that will go?
Well I will finish for now, and hope this finds you in good health.
I will talk with you again soon, and any advic you can give me would be great.
