APP Community...
That's a good name for our site. It feels a bit like home. This is what this association is all about for me.
My mum's French and my dad English. Although I was brought up in the suburbs of Paris, England is just as important. We went to England every year to visit my family. It was like leaving home to go home!
I speak English to my children. It is part of their heritage, not only a foreign language. I feel less isolated now I've met other members. England is for real, not just a fancy of my souvenirs!
French people always tell me how fantastic this is!! How lucky the children are! Yes yes yes! I definitely agree, but you have to hold on when everything around you is in French. English TV? DVDs? Most welcomed, hurray! And APP...
I have been in Pau for almost a year now. Not always easy when you move to an unknown country or town. This site is a wonderful opportunity.
